Wow. Just wow. I finally made it to Pizzeria Bianco in downtown LA, and let me tell you--this place lives up to the hype and then some. First off, the baked chicken (I wish I could remember the exact name!) was absolutely phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and roasted to perfection. It had this rustic, soulful flavor that made it feel both elevated and comforting at the same time. Total standout. And then--the Wiseguy pizza. My god. The smoky sausage, roasted onions, that perfect thin-but-chewy crust... every bite was magic. I get the hype now. It's rich, bold, a little spicy, and completely unforgettable. Easily one of the best pizzas I've had anywhere. The vibe of the place is warm, the staff is friendly, and everything just feels intentional--from the ingredients to the service. I can't recommend it enough. Pizzeria Bianco is officially a must-visit. I'll be back the second I can.

It's all about that dough. When you and your spouse watch Chef's Table and add the restaurants to your bucket list---we can cross this one off. The pizzeria is nestled in downtown LA near the Arts District and The Row. There are parking structures, so parking is relatively easy to find. We got here early for our reservations and walked around the area which has a bunch of cute shops. The restuarant is fairly large with indoor and outdoor seating. It has a very open feel even when you're sitting inside. The staff are friendly and gave great recs and which wine pairings would go best with the items we ordered. We opted to not wine that night as we wanted our full attention on the food. We ordered the Market Salad, the Rosa and the Broccolini. WOW. The vegetables were roasted/grilled and had a crisp to each bite. The Rosa pizza (red onion, parmigiano reggiano, rosemary, & Santa Barbara pistachios) was to die for as the toppings highlighted the pizza dough. The dough-- it was crispy on the outside and soft/fluffy everywhere. It was heavenly and light. My spouse and I were debating about getting another pizza, but the three dishes had us stuffed! I am so glad we got to try this place. Onto the next Chef's Table restaurant!

Spot-on pizzas in a surprisingly roomy restaurant. Made reservations for a Saturday lunch with friends. Parking is in an adjacent plaza garage - two hours free parking I believe. Was seated right away (luckily without needing our full party as one of our friends didn't follow directions correctly and ended up at the wrong restaurant ... twice lol). There are high ceilings, lots of bar type seats, along with tables for bigger groups. Started off with an Italian Pilsner - was a nice beer to wash down some pizzas (believe it was the Far Field Bada Bing Pilsner made in the South Bay). Appetizers were the burrata salad and spiedini. Both were nice and cheesy as usual. Ordered 4 pizzas - Sonny Boy, Rosa, Biancoverde, and Wise Guy. Had the Sonny Boy and Wise Guy before - they were both spot on and balanced. The Rosa was also good, but a little lighter than the others. My fav pizza was the Biancoverde - hands down. The kick from the cheese along with the arugula to cut some of the fat was awesome. Def would recommend if you like sharper cheese. Ended with an olive oil cake - was pretty good, but I think being full had me only having a bite of it. Would def come again!

Finally was able to try Bianco's pizza! Tried to eat at the location in Phoenix but was unable to, but very happy I got to try the DTLA location. Even though this is in DTLA there is parking in the ROW structures that gives 2 hours of free parking, which is so clutch. Would probably ere on the side of caution and get a reservation too but when we were there on a Saturday for lunch there was still some seating available. Service: very nice, informative on the menu. We were seated immediately and ordered fairly quickly after being seated. Ambience: restaurant is clean, rustic looking. Very appealing. The 'za: Sonny Boy: Fair warning we ordered it without olives (I've tried, just can't), but the flavor was excellent, agree with some of the reviews that it was a bit salty, but the olives would probably temper that a bit. Loved the sweetness coming through the tomato sauce. The crust was thin, but was able to sustain the pizza and had an excellent bite. Wise guy: I didn't know I needed this pizza in my life, between the sweetness of the caramelized onions, the peppery fennel flavor coming through from the sausage, and the saltiness of the cheese, was absolutely delicious. The crust is exactly like I described the Sonny boy, so delicious. Price: little bit on the pricier side when comparing to other pizzas. Overall would absolutely recommend this place, one of the better pizza places on the west coast, on par with some of the best NY pizza joints I've had. A little on the pricier side, but if you aren't strapped and need a good pizza, Bianco's is worth a stop.

Parking on Sunday was two hours free and a short walk to the restaurant. Both indoor and outdoor seating . Large open apace. The pizza menu is a bit limited. We want to order the sausage only to find out that both meats were pork. So we ordered a Rosa which is made with nuts. The food came out quickly and the pizza was enough for two. The taste was fair. Service was very good and I like the feel of the location.

My first time at this pizza restaurant and was invited by my business partner. It is located in downtown LA. There is a large parking structure actually structure. There's two of them that allow you to park free for the first two hours. This restaurant does not validate. I like the fact that we were dining at a small business restaurant. A little sidenote both of us work for nonprofits that assist small businesses with their growth by providing access to capital, so supporting small business is what we do. We each order pizzas as the waiter is very kind in explaining the menu. Their menu is rather simple. They have five different small plates, one pasta plate a half a dozen pizzas to choose from, and three different salad variations. We both decided to order pizzas and ironically, we chose the pizzas with the strangest names. I ordered Sonny Boy and my friend ordered Wise guy . All kidding aside we chose the pizzas because the way our waiter described them they were gourmet. I would have to say that the pizza I ordered, Sonny Boy, had a very tasty crust for those of you that like thin crust pizza this is certainly one. The Soppressata is really tasty a little bit on the salty side, but it added the flavor alongside the mozzarella cheese. The olives added a special touch as they were not cut, but actually whole olives. The Wise Guy pizza that my friend ordered was also an interesting flavor. The Fennel sausage along side the wood oven roasted onions actually gave this pizza. It's gourmet taste. For those of you who are on a tight budget the prices are a bit on the high side but then lately everything seems to be getting very expensive. If you do go, it may be a good idea to share one in others entrées. When I am in downtown Los Angeles And close by I definitely will return to try their pasta and their salad.

Pizzeria Bianco did not disappoint! I can totally see why the sonny boy is a fan fav. The dough is thin, light, and crispy, perfectly complemented by the fresh tomato sauce and salty soppressata and olives. The little gem salad, topped with freshly grated cheese, is simple yet delicious. I was really looking forward to trying the passion fruit panna cotta (or any panna cotta, really), but unfortunately, it wasn't available during our visit. We decided to try the olive oil cake with whipped cream, kumquat, and pistachio instead. While the balance of flavors was nice, the olive oil cake itself was dry and disappointing. That said, it was still a wonderful experience overall. The servers were friendly, and there's plenty of parking (first 2 hours are free).

*** James Beard Award Winner (2003): Best Chef: Southwest *** *** James Beard Award Winner (2022): Outstanding Restauranteur *** ** Michelin Bib Gourmand ** * Los Angeles Times 101 Best Restaurants (2024): #69 * Featured on the first episode in the 2022 season of Netflix's Chef's Table, Chris Bianco has an impressive resume. I hadn't realized this chef and restaurant had so many accolades until I recently took a closer look. After some brief research, I decided to make a Saturday lunch reservation to see what this place was all about. To eat, I ordered the Margherita pizza, priced at $24. To drink, a Skyduster IPA, priced at $9. All things considered, I found the price point reasonable. The pizza was delicious and satisfying, and the quality was evident. I particularly liked the sauce. Aside from the food, the ambiance was elevated, and service was great. If you're in the area, I'd recommend giving this place a try.
